Am I allowed to collect unemployment while waiting for a social security claim for a back disability.I have been under a doctor's care

By collecting unemployment you are certifying that you were ready, willing and able to work (and looking for work) during the period. That is entirely inconsistent with your social security claim that you are unable to work.
