credit cards & probate

my fiance was killed and only owned boats & trailers that are titled to him, does the credit card companies have a right to make me sell his boats to cover the cc debt?

His estate should be probated and his creditors should be paid from his assets. They would have a right to seize his assets.

in order to answer your question accurately tell you need to know more information about the rest of the assets which would comprise his estate. In many instances the debt on these type of assets could be potentially negotiated a lower amount which could be paid as you could agree with creditor.I would suggest that you e-mail me a phone number where I can reach you to discuss this further.
