Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Georgia

searching a purse

A femalepolice officer was being questioned by a detective in referrence to a child interferrence case involving her grandson. While being questioned her purse was searched in another office with out her knowledge or presence., and her county identification was removed. She was not under arrest, there is a sign posted on the door of the police department advising by entering you may be subject to search. Isn't there still a reasonable expectation to privacy?

When you enter a courthouse, police station, or any other government building, you are subject to search for security reasons. If you don't want your bags searched, then leave them in your car or at home. Moreover, how can anyone complain about being searched, when there was a sign warning about the search? If you care so much about the bag, why leave it in another room away from your person?

Although the police do many things wrong and get away with taking responsbility for the harm they do; this time, I don't see anything they did wrong.
