Credit card debt and death

My mother passed away after battling cancer. There are a couple of cerdit card bills. Who is responsible if the cards were just in her name?

Her estate is responsible. If she left any assets, het executor (if she has a will) or administrator (if she has no will) will pay those amounts out of her assets.
