Recording Workplace Meetings

Due to a problem at my job, my performance is being reviewed by several high-ranking executives. Several former employees have complained about false statements being made by execs during these types of reviews, and I would like to record my session.

If I inform the board members that I am recording the review, will I face any legal ramifications?

Taking a recorder in and telling them you are recording is fine from a legal standpoint. It may not be from an employment standpoint. If you are an "at will" employee, the employer may not consider it a beneficial relationship if an employee feels the need to record meetings (even if there is a valid reason).
