How do I get back custody of my son?
In Nov. 2003 my divorce was finalized from my ex-husband. My ex-husband shared joint custody of our then 2 yr. old son.In March of 2004 I met my current husband.I wasn't working when I met my current husband and in June 04 I started working again.I then put my son in daycare for the 2 weeks I would have him.He was hurt at daycare and we took him out and out him in another daycare in which they called DFCS and said my son was being abused.They charged my husband and I with cruelty to children and we went to jail.The court gave my ex-husband temp custody for 3 years.The charges against us were droppped in July 05.I want to know can the court assign temp custody for a 3 yr period and how I should go about getting my son back.He will be 6 in Sept. Thank you.

Once the charges against you were dropped [assuming they were baseless] you should have the right to petition the Court for return of custody.
