can you sign rights over and not have to pay child support?

If the mother opposes it or the taxpayers will have to pay for your child, it is not likely you can ecsape paying child support. if the mother is married and her husband wants to adopt the child, it is likely you will be able to avoid child support.

No. You don't have the right to evade the responsibility for the consequences of your sex life ad force taxpayers to subsidize it. The right to be supported belongs to the child, and courts will not let you waive it.

There is one exception. If the mother is married and her husband wishes to have her spouse do a step parent adoption, or if you and the mother give up the child for adoption to a 3rd party (voluntarily or involuntarily), part of that process will terminate your rights and future support obligations. (Past child support remains due).
