uncaring dad wants full custody because i was a nude dancer

i gave father joint legal custody when son was 1 year old, father's last name @ 11 mths. was nude dancer when i met him. have held other jobs and danced part-time for to help ends meet. dropped 1st request for modification 3 yrs ago at his manipulating request.many fights lately concernig child support,then i received petition for custody change. he makes about $20,000+ since the day 1st child support was issued. has missed 3 visitations since the petition. how do i get him to pay the fees and more child support(i stopped dancing and can't afford)
