Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Car Dealership Stole my Trade In

I purchased a car from a dealership and had to file for bankrupcy a month later. To protect the co-signer I was advised to include the total cost of the car in my bankrupcy. Two months later I called the dealership to find out why my info had not been registered. They said I was never financed. With no prior calls or mail I was told a warrant was put out for my arrest for stealing the car(Lie- I called police dept., they also called my employer). I returned the car. The dealership sold my trade-in and did not return the downpayment. They only gave me the option of their 10+ older cars or nothing. They left me stranded with no car. How do I go about getting either my car back or my downpayment and the worth of my trade-in? Can I get anything for damages (slander-calling employer)?
