Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Georgia

Renting house and property damaged after retained by owner

We moved into a house we planed to purchase from our friends the owners in january of 2006, we stayed and paid on time every month until Mid to end of september and was tols the house was going to be put up for sale Nov 1st. At that time we didnt have the Downpayment to purchase the house. So we begain to look for somewhere to move, 3 days later they told us they had someone who was buying the house. We then told them we couldnt Move and pay 2500 to do so and also pay rent considering we had at least 1500 in repairs we put in to the prorerty being sold. They said they would think on it. We Moved End of october. The last thing to get was My husbands car They told us we could get the car when they got there rent. We then told them we were holding them resonsable if any damages were done to car. So we paid a little here and there and now only owe 130 out of 950 dollars . We went to check on the car yesterday and someone had dented the hood all up and put a hole through it . It was also uncoverd and left in the elements. We now dont know what to do . We didnt have a lease or anything but I have checks where we always paid rent and Most of the reciepth for work done on the house. Do we have a case.

A case for what and against whom? If you are talking about the damage to the car, then yes if you find out who did it.
