I handled a similar case in Georgia, where I also practice. Depending on the circumstances, your wife may have a civil remedy for her supervisor's disclosure of medical information. However, depending on the harm caused by this disclosure, she may want to weigh suing the supervisor and employer versus keeping her job/maintaining a postive work environment for herself.
