Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Georgia
probate of a will
My uncle recently died just a few
months after his wife (my dad's
sister) died. In the process of
probating and executing my uncle's
will, his executor has called me to
seek my assistance in moving funds
from a certain money market
account that was still in my aunt's
name at the time of my uncle's
death. (They had no children, and I
would have been the executor of my
aunt's estate if my uncle had died
first.) What will happen to the funds
in this account if I refuse to help
them?
I have several concerns here. There
were last minute changes to my
uncle's will that would have horrified
my aunt. What are my options?
What type attorney do I need to see
to find out if this money is under my
control or the control of my uncle's
executor?

There will be plenty of lawyers in your area who handle estate matters as the primary part of their business, and can handle your matter efficiently and correctly. That is, by far, your best option.
