Legal Question in Banking Law in Idaho
Payroll check
There is someone asking me to put a payroll check in my name, as they are out of the country, for me to deposit so that they can get the funds. They claim that the bank will not cash the check there because it is not on there currency. Is this something legal that can be done? Having a company put someone elses name on a check to be able to cash it? Would this be something that would end up makeing me responsible for taxes because it would end up in my name? I am wanting to make sure that I would not be commiting an ilegal act if I were to help. It is just someone that I have communicated with online over the last month and have not actually met, but would be willing to help if I can be sure it is not a scam and would verify the business first as well. Please let me know. Thank you

Re: Payroll check
This is a scam. You would be an IDIOT to participate in this transaction.
