Help for innocent minor accused of rape
Before my daughter and her boyfriend, ''K'', became a couple, he was accused of rape. He's 15 yrs. old. He spent the night with a friend. He became involved with kissing on his friend's little sister. Apparently, he thought she was about 15 also, and she seems older. She's only 11. Someone else in the house asked if she knew what ''K'' was doing. She went where he was and got close to his face, and she said that he was sleeping. When he left the next day, she asked him to come back. ''K's'' friend found out that ''K'' and his little sister had been kissing and got angry. The girl was afraid of getting in trouble, so she said that he raped her. Three weeks later, a test was done on her that indicated that she had been penetrated at some time; she has her period, a tampon can break the lining. The girl got close to ''K'''s face to see if he was asleep (If raped, who would get that close?)and later asked him to come back, but she didn't tell anyone in the house she had been raped until she got scolded for kissing on him, and she even said, at first, that nothing happened. Her family has a big name around here and is wealthy enough to afford a very good attorney. ''K'''s family can't afford that. Please help or advise.
Thanks.

Re: Help for innocent minor accused of rape
This is a serious matter. You should contact your local county's public defender's office and speak with one of their attorneys. Although he is a minor, he can still face some serious charges depending on what the prosecutor's office discovers. Again, you will need to retain an attorney. Good luck.
