Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Illinois
A man would pay me by check, 20 dollars an hour part time to clean his apartment and do some errands. I listed him as an employer on my job application because his money paid my rent for a year. When the job manager called to ask if I did work for him, he went into a rant about me being on disability and on recreational drugs. I was never on drugs and never drug tested. Neither do I have a criminal history or history of drug use or refusal to test. I did not get the job because he lied to them. Do I have a case?

Yes, you can sue him. The real question however, is can you prove he did what you said he did? I can be reached at 312-372-5600,
