Legal Question in Immigration Law in Illinois

I got the green card through DV programe in 2002. I came to US to get my card and went back to my country. I didn't know the laws for overstayed on green card. I deceided to return back to US in 2007 and came back to US without any problem. I am living here since then. I have a job, filling returns everything. On top of that I made few overseas trips also after residing in 2007. Should I apply for the naturalization. They might have not my 2002 IN/OUT records.

You might be eligible for naturalization when you accumulate required 5 years after your return to USA in 2007.

Obviously, you didn't reside in USA from 2002 till 2007, didn't pay taxes, etc.

Whenever you apply, you will need to disclose all absences from USA since becoming a resident (in 2002).
