Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois
employee on medical leave
We have an employee who is required to undergo hernia surgery in the near future. After the surgery he will be required to be off work for recovery, unless we can provide him with a sit-down job with no lifting. We do not have any such jobs in his department, we do have another department with these jobs, but would have to lay-off a part time employee to accomodate him. Pleaase advise us on how to proceed
