Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Investment Advisor in

I am employed at a Brokerage firm and work on commission. I operate a tiny branch office w/ one new fulltime employee. For the past 1/2 year, I have been without the normal computer/satlellite equipment and only one phone line (due to laptops) & no FT assistant. Also, during the past 6 months, I was searching for full time help without any cooperation from HQ. HQ put extra responsibilities on me during office relocation.

During that time, they pressured me to do $14,000 a month in commissions. This is the minimum for people who have computers, phones, & a full time assistant. Also, many of my requests were refused/delayed during this time. Now I have Colitis from all the stress of the threat of job loss & trying to hold together a branch office without any cooperation or assistance from the people pressuring me to make money!

a claim that the work environment was so hostile

and purposefully stressful

that it had an effect upon

your health.
