Legal Question in Employment Law in Illinois

Overtime

Does my employer have to pay me overtime if I am not a salaried employee? Does it make a difference if i am part-time or full-time?

Re: Overtime

Hello. In my opinion, you

have a right to be paid for

the time that you work!! Of

course, if you are part time,

you may not have union membership, if there is a union, so your option would be

to quit....file suit for what

you are owed, if they owe

you and it amounts to a lot

of money. If it is less than

what it would cost to hire

a lawyer (which is what you

should do) then realistically

you have to weigh costs

versus principle. Good

luck!
