I assume you were paid on an hourly basis? Under federal and state law, employees must be paid for all time worked with some limited exceptions. Additionally, non-exempt employees (who are paid on an hourly basis) must be paid overtime at a rate of 1-1/2 times the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a work week. Again, there are some exceptions.
