My pay was for 40 hours even though I punched a time card and numerous times was over that. What can I do?? I live in Missouri but was working in Illinois.

I assume you were paid on an hourly basis? Under federal and state law, employees must be paid for all time worked with some limited exceptions. Additionally, non-exempt employees (who are paid on an hourly basis) must be paid overtime at a rate of 1-1/2 times the regular hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 hours in a work week. Again, there are some exceptions.
Each case is different and the answer depends upon the specific facts of the case. We routinely represent employees in these types of actions and would be happy to speak with you.
