Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Illinois
I live in illinois and fell on the ice in our psarking lot I notified the landlord and he told me to putice on it and also said to take the front sidewalk back to my apt as this was the only thing je had salted. Do I have a case?

Were you injured? If so, you may have a case for medical costs, lost wages and minor pain and suffering. Otherwise, you have no case if you were not injured. There may be a breach of the lease, however. Anyhow if the parking lot is part of the common areas the landlord is responsible for salting it if it is paved or salting icy patches if not, and failure to do so may be the landlord's negligence.
