Injury to daughter

my daughter was involved in an altercation on the school bus at her high school in which someone beat her head against the window, causing 1500.00 in medical bills, is the school responsible for this?

The party most responsible is the kid who did the beating. If that kid is a minor, then the kid's parents are liable. The school may be liable for failing to prevent the altercation, but that will depend on a variety of circumstances. You should find a lawyer in your area that can help you with this.
