Legal Question in Personal Injury in Illinois
Am I liable for my boyfriend who lives with me falling off of a ladder and injurying himself at my home. My boyfriend was intoxicated and I had no idea he was getting on a ladder as I was not home at the time.

If you can prove the facts you have stated - that is you have positive evidence that he was drunk- and that you can show the ladder he used was not faulty, it is likely that there will be no liability for you. But, you should contact your home owner insurance and have them deal with the claim. Likely they will deny it.
