finding a legal description for a property on the internet

if i have a pin # and no legal description -- is there a web site i can find the actual legal description for a property. i use cook county assessor's office to find out about taxes. please help make my job a little easier.

There is no website that I am aware of that will give you the legal from a PIN. You can go to the recorders office and search it yourself free or order a search from CT&T or REI for about $50 which will give you the leagl from a PIN.

If you go to Cook County with the PIN number, you will get a copy of the legal description for $1. However, you should also get the instructions page they will give you for free so that you may correctly interpret the legal description.
