If i make a quick claim deed (life estate deed) will the taxes still be homesteaded while grantor lives in the home?

It should be if the granto retains ownership and lives in the home. However, why dont you contact your local county official to confirm this?

Checking with your county treasurer and assessor is your best bet. Also, you are referring to a "quit" claim deed. There is nothing "quick" about it.
