Statute of Limitation

My husband & I got a car repossed in 1993, what is the statue of limitations on collecting against this? They have never tried to collect since 1993 and now served me with garnishment papers at work without trying my home first.

Generally ten years. They can serve you anywhere they know you are. Check with an attorney if you think the statute has run.
