Legal Question in Family Law in Indiana

five years ago a friend gave us his property on the deed it said WARRANTY DEED RESERVING LIFE ESTATE, we are not related to him. His sisters have talked him into moving in with them. The problem now is they are seeking a lawyer claiming that we broke the terms of the live estate. Can they do this?

It depends on the terms. Who had the warranty deed? Who had the life estate? The specific terms of the deed itself will control. This is a difficult legal problem and you will do well to retain counsel to help you sort this out.

I would like to help you if I can. Please contact me via email to discuss further: [email protected].
