Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

My ex-boyfriend owes my parents and I money and he is refusing to pay it. I have sent him text messages and even typed letters asking him to pay and asking him to work out a contract with us for him to pay the amount he owes us over time. Do I and my parents have a case considering the money he owes them is for a phone and the money he owes me is for many things including car repairs?

For any money he specifically agreed to pay back when he borrowed it, yes. For any money you just feel like he owes or should pay you, probably not.
