Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Indiana

I work at a casino. While I was away a co worker stole cash off of my tray. It was about $70. I worked hard for this money! Surveillance this person on camera doing it. Can I sue this person? Can I sue for more money than they stole? It put me in a bad spot because I needed that money for rent
