Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Indiana

Told had Rheumatoid Arthritis but didn't

a family member was told she had RA. After taking rituxan she developed Lymphoma. she decided to see a RA- ologist and was told she didn't have RA, that she had osteo. she wasn't x-rayed or biopsyed by the diagnosing doctor, which we found out after is standard. another family member went to the same doctor even previous to this and was diagnosed with a muscle disorder. after we found out about the botched diagnoses he decided to see a neurologist who said he did not have this disorder. Now he is having liver problems, that he was even told by the diagnosing doctor, that was caused by the medicines prescribed for this supposed muscle issue. My question is, in instances like this since it is the same doctor and the two patients are married, do they make seperate claims or joint, and are there any caring lawyers willing to help. thanks
