Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

mortgage quit claim deeded to spouse, spouse added son on quit claim deed, son pays mortgage. What happens if spouse that is still on mortgage bank loan and gave up interest by quit claim to ex wife, she added son, the ex wife passes away, can son retain property he is on (quit claim deed & he pays mortg note at bank, but ex husband is still on loan at bank, he filed bankruptcy, then left the mortg on, when it should had been taken off, cause ex wife had to take 2nd mortg, w/son, in order to keep house, (which son pays all debts and he pays for the 2nd mortg too) Can that ex spouse walk in some point in time, take property away and legally rob the people that paid for all of the property?
