The short answer is no. However, some try to estimate what

might be awarded by determining the amount of "special damages" --

which include such easily quantifiable things as medical costs --

and multiplying the amount of "specials" by a number to get total damages.

So you will hear people talking about getting five times specials or

three times specials or whatever, but it is only a way of guesstimating.
