Legal Question in Personal Injury in Kentucky

Seat Belt Defense

I was involved in an accident. The two insurance companies agreed that I was at fault. 2 individuals in the other vehicle received injuries. The injuries were not life threatening. Neither injured part was wearing a seat belt nor did their airbags deploy (2003 Jeep Liberty). I have a above average amount of insurance collision/medical coverage. My question is ''What level/percentage of responisblitity do they assume because they were not wearing seat belts?'' Kentucky has a seat belt law.

Re: Seat Belt Defense

Your insurance company should be providing you with this information. KY recognizes that there may be a split between the parties as to liability, but will generally leave the degree of shared responsibility for a jury to determine.
