bankruptcy to get rid of judgement

i was in an accident a year ago.i hit my brakes to slow down.the old pickup behind me didnt have good brakes, he couldnt stop.the 2 vehicles never hit, he jumped a ditch.my insurance will only pay them $2,000.so they are sueing me.if they get a judgement, can i file bankruptcy to get rid of the judgement?

Please don't be too hasty. Your insurance co. is liable for any excess damages that could be awarded against you if they could, and fail, to settle within your policy limits. I suggest you consult an attorney before seriously considering bankruptcy.
