Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Louisiana

Is it legal for a mortgage company to offer you a special forebarance, then after applying for it to allow it to change hands several times and not get back to you for 2 months on the details and refuse to return your phone calls then report on your credit past due and threaten foreclosure when the fault was in their hands because they took so long to process it. I just feel like they took advantage of my situation of very severe illness.I called the company several times and every time was told if someone did not get back to me in 3 business days to call back which i did repeatedly but they would never put me through to the person handeling my forebarence just that it was still processing.

Send a dispute letter to the lender and the credit bureau providing documentation, dates, times and the names of person you spoke to. You should also make an appointment with your loan officer or supervisor if possible to have the negative rating removed.
