Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana
How does he answer to the Motion to Compell?
My divorce attorney filed the motion to compell my ex-husband's financial documents. My ex says to my attorney that we can come to his office (he's self-emplyed) and look at his financial documents. I thought my ex is supposed to make copies of all of his financial documents and send them to my attorney. What is the right way to do it? I don't want to pay my attorney for his time to go over to my ex's office and look at the papers. I think it's easier if my ex sends them to my attorney. Please, tell me what we should do and how the law sees it?

Under La. law, your attorney can compel you husband to bring the records to a place where they can be copied at your expense. Then he can review them at his leisure.
