Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana

If someone has your property (car) and you are the rightful owner (title in hand) how can you legally get it back?

What are all my legal options?

If the police will not help you, you can certainly recover the property yourself but could face trespassing, etc charges. You could file a suit to recover the property or hire a repo service.
