If I worked for a company and was not paid the rate that was agreed on do I have the right to sue them

I think the answer to that question depends on more information. If you agreed to a rate, performed work and weren't paid at that rate, yes, you would have a right to seek the difference in what you were paid versus what you were promised. However, if your rate was changed and you knew about it, and continued to work knowing it had changed, I would say no, because you acquiesced to the rate change.
