What do i do?

My girlfriend and i broke up about 8 months ago. i told her she can use the furniture until she can get her own. I just found out that she was two months behind on her rent and the landlord place all my furniture in storage and told her he was going to sell it if he didnt get his money in a few days. my question is can he sell my furniture. i can go back to the stores and get records that i bought the furniture. what can i do to get my furniture?

The landlord has absolutely no right to seize furniture in Louisiana. Louisiana law does not allow that sort of self help. You have a cause of action against the landlord for converting (stealing) your property.
