I moved out my apartment a month ago and still have not recieved my rental deposit back. When I call my lanlord he says he has to wait for bookkeeper (who rarely comes in). What do I do know to see about getting my deposit back?

Re: rental deposit
The law requires you to give your landlord written notice of your new address. He then has 30 days to return your deposit, or a detailed accounting of any funds spent out of the deposit for cleaning fees, etc. Failure to do so leaves the landlord open to penalties and attorney's fees.
Re: rental deposit
Make a written demand, certified mail, for your deposit. He then has 30 days to give you either the deposit or an accounting on the damages you allegedly caused, with the balance of the deposit, if any.
