carpal tunnel syndrome
After falling around Jan. of 2006, I was referred to a neurologist. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel. He said it was a work related injury. I never did file a claim. I worked for this school system for 18 years and did not file a claim. I wasn't having much pain at the time but it has gotten worse. I am working somewhere else now is to late to file a personal injury claim against my former employer

With only the scant facts provided, you usually have a year to file a workers comp claim from the last time you saw a doctor. Since you no longer work there, then you do not have work to leave to collect compensation. However, if the carpal tunnel syndrome allowed you to do your new job and it has gotten so bad you cannot do that job, then you might have a workers comp claim against the new employer. By-the-way, you asked whether you could file a personal injury claim against the former employer. No, your claim is only for workers comp benefits.
