Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland
I filed a motion of consideration for a theft over $500 from which i received a guilty verdict in June 2005. I received 2 years all suspended but 5 days and my public defender filed a motion for reconsideration. I have now been off probation for a year and a half and have asked my private attorney to ask the judge to review the reconsideration motion. What are my chances?

There is only one way to calculate your chances in any reasonably effective way: talk to the private lawyer that you say you hired!!!
No lawyer can give you odds. Whoever represented you when the judge sentenced you, should be doing this for you as part of the original representation. If not, you need someone who is experienced. Either hire someone or apply for the public defender.
