Legal Question in Criminal Law in Maryland

Indicted for felony identity theft, wiretapping, harassment for allegations that allegedly occured two years ago. There is no warrant for my arrest. I am concerned that, when I show up for my arraignment, that bail might be assessed. Can this happen? Is it likely this will happen? I have no priors.

Although it is unlikely your bail will be set or changed at your arraignment hearing, it is not impossible. Why go without a lawyer, even a public defender? The chances of being arrested for the posting of bail is greatly reduced if you have a lawyer at your side.

Yes, it is possible. However, if you had a warrant, it is unlikely that you would have been summoned for an initial appearance.
