You are facing likely jail time in Maryland. The maximum sentence is 1 year jail and $1000 fine, but these could increase if the State files notice about your priors. The penalty depends on many factors, such as the facts of the case, the county you were arrested, the judge, the prosecutor, and most importantly ... your defense lawyer.
