An engagement ring is considered an irrevocable gift under MD law, which is why the District Court judge ruled in your favor. If you want an attorney to represent you in the Circuit Court, consult your county's bar association to see if they can provide you with a pro bono (free) attorney or one on a reduced fee basis through their lawyer referral service.
