workers comp

i want to settle my workers comp case. how do i figure a fair settlement amount to ask for. i was injured 18 years ago still seeing a medical doctor for medication and will be. i was rated 68% disabled by the commision 4 years ago

First of all, if you received an award from the Commission, you have presumably already received, or are receiving, permanent partial disability benefits. So the only thing left to settle would be the value of your ongoing medical benefits, if you are prepared to give them up. Since you appear to be in a long term care program with no end in sight, this would probably be a bad idea.
