Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Massachusetts

fee for being an executrix

Recently my mother passes away, there was a will but nothing in the estate mainly because my mom had put everything in her name and mine. there was quite a sum of money and even though the money was considered mine legally, morally I opted to divide the money between my other 5 siblings. my question is, is it true that in Massachusetts the executive to the will takes 10 percent as a fee. I was told this but had never heard of it. Thank you
