Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan
Bankruptcy & Real Estate
I am in a Chapter 13 Bankruptcy filed to protect my Condo which was in foreclosure. I became unemployeed in January ''08 and have thus NOT made a payment since. What can I do to rid myself (sell, give back, walk away) of this condo - which is comping at over $30,000 less today than a year ago. The trustee has not contacted me, nor I him. Thank you for any advise you can provide.

Re: Bankruptcy & Real Estate
You need to get a bankruptcy lawyer and quickly. Also, you need to contact your lender to determine what they are willing to do in a situation like this. All transactions must be approved by a trustee before finalized.
