Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Michigan
what is the highest percentage of pay that my payroll check can be garnished?
I am thinking about filing chapter 7 beacuse my checks are being garnished for very old debts and affecting me paying current bills. What is the highest amount my check can be garnished?

25% of your check can be garnished at one time. Keep in mind that as soon as one judgment has been satisfied and that creditor stops garnishing, there are likely others in line that will start garnishing.
